    A Merck Sponsored Satellite Symposium
In conversation with Prof Paul Dimitri and Dr Indi Banerjee – ‘Digital adherence monitoring for growth hormone treatment – what is the true value now and what does the NHS 10 Year Plan hold for its future?’
This session is to be held/chaired by Prof Paul Dimitri, Professor of Child Health and Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology, and Dr Indi Banerjee, Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist, as an interactive fireside conversation. The session will present and discuss the latest studies, trends and aspirations in the field of paediatric growth hormone treatment relating to digital adherence monitoring and digital ecosystems. It will look at the value of adherence in regards to outcomes from growth hormone treatment and use a value based model to assess using digitally connected devices. It will consider the latest in the NHS 10 Year Plan as it aspires to move treatment into the community and evolve from treatment to prevention, analogue to digital, exploring why paediatric endocrine healthcare professionals should consider incorporating these aspirations into their practice. It will also look at the future of technology in this sector and what it could mean for evolutions involving AI, such as prevention and personalised treatment.
